History
During the span of r/place being open, r/WillYouSnail (With help from r/thebluecorner in an early attempt, r/bluey in the eighth attempt, and r/placeloona in the seventh and tenth attempts) made ten attempts to place Shelly onto the canvas. Out of 10 of these attempts, only two were successful.

The Destruction of Place
At around TBA UCT, Reddit reduced the options for placeable pixels to being only white. This caused sections of the canvas believed to be botted to turn white almost instantly. Tenth attempt Shelly, along with tiny Shelly, were inevitably destroyed by the "white void".
